In 1931, Gerald E. Smiley began with a commitment to provide car owners with the best body repair available in that day. His philosophy was to treat every collision repair he performed as if it were the most important repair he had ever done. Gerald Smiley believed success and a good reputation were earned, something not to be taken for granted.

Gerald’s idea of doing his best work every time proved a great success. As years went by his reputation for outstanding craftsmanship and good service grew, and his shop grew along with it.

In 1936, the phrase “For The Best” began to appear in advertising for Smiley Body Shop. The phrase typified the way his many customers felt about the work Gerald was doing.

Today, Smiley Body Shop celebrates 75+ years of Collision Repair Excellence. As customers rely on our expertise, they will see that our third generation, family-owned business works as hard for them today as Gerald Smiley did in the 1930s.

Since 1931, advance in collision repair have been monumental. Frame repair is lazer-assisted, finishes outlive parts, and the repair result is often better than new.
